Too long

Sorry it has been so long since I have updated this. We have had a busy month. Leah is sitting up so well now. She has started to scoot and little on her bottom, no crawling yet but I don't think it will be long. She also has started to hold herself up when standing. She can't pull herself up yet but if you put her there she will hold on and play. Now that it is spring break we were suppose to be going to Iowa but the weather decided to stop that. We are staying home now instead and hope to go up there the end of April. I hope to take Leah out this afternoon and let her play a little in the snow. I added a picture of Leah and Josh. She loves to have books read to her. She still doesn't have any teeth but she is putting everything in her mouth and drooling all the time.
Cousin Rachel and Aunt Deb came to visit last weekend. They had a great time with her. They even babysat her Saturday night so I could go out with some good friends. I hope to post more often and keep everyone up to date!

7 Months

Leah turned 7 months on February 9th. We had a snow day that day so I got to stay home with her. I am so tired of snow. I am hoping it is done now but it probably isn't. Leah is starting to eat a lot more and is much more active. She loves to sit and play with her toys, any of them that make sounds or she can put in her mouth. She also tries to sit herself back up if she is laying down. She can't do it yet but keeps trying! She is drooling a lot and has another cold but is still happy as can be.
This past week has been really busy for both Josh and me. I had conferences this past week and Josh was trying to get his project done so he had to work late a few nights. Thanks to Grandma Pam for stepping in and watching Leah. She also came over Saturday so Josh and I could go see The Book of Eli and go out to dinner. It was the first movie I have been to since I was 8 months pregnant. :)

Fun in the snow

We have gotten about 6 inches of snow in the past 36 hours. We didn't have school on Friday and now that Leah seems to be feeling a little better we decided to give her an experience with snow. She really didn't do much, she just sat there but I think it was really bright to her and she was trying to adjust! I didn't let her stay out there very long because it was only 20 degrees outside. I hope next year we get snow like this so she can play in it. :)

She has started eating a little better now. I think we are on the mend! :) She is rolling around on the floor right now, playing with her feet. Well that is all I have for now.

Sick Baby

Leah got to play with the wrapping paper tube. She had fun with it.

Here she is showing off her earrings.

This week started of with Leah being sick. She started running a low grade fever Saturday night and then it turned into a high fever and a bad cough. I took her to the doctor on Monday and we had a bunch of test ran on her, which made her really mad but they showed that she has RSV. We knew she had been exposed but we were hoping she wouldn't get it. RSV is a cold but can become much worse in infants. Her fever broke on Tuesday but her cough is still here and she isn't eating well. She was taking a steriod twice a day and using a nebulizer with albuterol in it. She doesn't have to take the steriod anymore but we are still doing the nebulizer until her cough gets completely better. So Josh took off Tuesday and tomorrow and I am took off Monday, Wednesday and today. No fun.

We will probably not have school tomorrow with the weather that is happening outside. It is raining/ freezing rain and is suppose to turn into sleet and snow later on. Oh yeah. Hope it isn't as bad as last year.

I am going to post a few pictures that are not too new but I finally found time to get the pictures off of the camera.

Gabby being such a good puppy!

Uncle Jason and Grandpa Harvey visited in early January. :)

Blogging??

Blogging.....I never thought I would say I would have my own blogging site. I guess this is what you do when you have a child. I thought this would be a great way to keep everyone up to date without having to email everyone. We had Leah's 6 month appointment on Friday the 15th. She now weighs 15 pounds and 7 oz. She is also almost 27 inches long. What a tall girl!! She has been eating cereal and baby food now for about 2 months. We just had the daycare start feeding her cereal and baby food too. That has been a work in progress. She has issues eating her bottles at daycare because she gets distracted and wants to watch everyone else instead of eating. They are trying to find ways to get her to finish her bottles. She eats great at home so we aren't too worried about it. Leah has started sitting up on her own and loves it. Well she doesn't love it when she falls back and hits her head but she doesn't do it that often. :) She also loves to bounce and stand up when you hold her. She has become very loud when she is talking too. You think she is crying but she actually just playing and talking! :)

This past weekend we got her ears pierced. She did very well with it. She didn't like Josh having to hold her still and of course didn't like the initial pain but within a minute or so she was just fine. She doesn't mind us cleaning them and they seem to be doing well.

As for Josh, he is busy with work now. He is doing a new project so he is having to work late nights. I don't like it that much but he loves his job and that is what is important.

I still love my job. We had a whole week of snow days right after Christmas break so we will be in school until at least June 7th, yuck! I have a pretty good group of kids this year, if I could just get them to listen to me all the time! LOL.

And last but not least, Gabby. We just had her yearly appointment with the vet. She is doing great. They gave her the shots, which she didn't like but is up and normal again after not doing a whole lot yesterday. She is still barking like crazy and sometimes wakes Leah up in the middle of the night but that doesn't happen very often. I think Leah is getting use to it.

Well I am going to try to update this at least once a week but don't hold me to that. :)
